How To Create a High Volume of Authentic Content in One Hour

Content marketing, Online marketing

This post is for the business owners who lack time but have a budget that they can use to outsource parts of their business. If you’re still in the early stages of your business, content creation is probably something you’ll need to DIY and spend your time on until you grow. But if you’re already operating a profitable business and finding yourself short on time to keep up with the online marketing side of things, this is for you…

One of my clients and a number of high-achieving entrepreneurs that I follow online use this technique to create bucket loads of epic content. It works well because it enables them to remain the face of the business, and keeps their unique voice and tone on all of the content without requiring them to invest much time.

authentic content

Step 1) Batch Videos

You need to set aside some time, say, an hour, to record a whole bunch of short videos of around 2-5 minutes each. In this time, you might create 10 videos. If you’re comfortable on video, this will be easy, but if not, it will take some getting used to.

Step 2) Outsource

The raw videos can be sent to your outsourced (or internal) team to repurpose into actual shareable content on your social media channels and website. From each video, you might be able to get:

  • An edited video with captions
  • 1-2 blog posts
  • 1-2 shareable quote images
  • A mini podcast episode
  • An infographic
  • A link/featured image with the title and a still from the video

This content is from just one video, so multiply it by 10 (if you did 10 videos), and that is how much content you have produced from just one hour of video recording! Crazy, right?

Step 3) Review

Don’t skip this step. You didn’t personally create all of this content, so it’s up to you to check that your outsourced/internal team kept on brief and that it’s all still in your authentic voice and style. If not, offer feedback, and then check again.

Step 4) Schedule

Once approved, your team can schedule the content to go out on your blog, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, email database, and whatever other channels you are using.

Step 5) Interact

Don’t forget this final step… these days, it’s all about the conversation. If your audience is interacting with your content, interact back! This can take a little more time, but it is 100% worth it. You can definitely train your team members to take on a lot of this work once they are familiar with how you would normally respond.

leveraged content creation

Overall, it is definitely possible to create a large volume of authentic, valuable content in a short amount of time! All you need is an hour here and there to record videos and a trusted team behind you with the skills and understanding of your authentic voice to turn your videos into everything else.

Happy content creating!
